MKI celebrates the graduation of DUT Bursary recipients

Year: 2018

MKI believe that our achievement is measured by the success of our students. On 09 May 2018, some of the bursary holders that are funded by MKI were conferred with their National Diploma in Information Technology (IT) from the Durban University of Technology (DUT).

Kwazi Mpondombi is one of the students that are funded by MKI who graduated on the day, and he is excited that MKI has assisted him to achieve his first qualification. Mpondombi who hails from Newcastle in a township called Osizweni shares a bit of his journey with us as he highlights that he enrolled at DUT in 2014.

“It was a long and a little bit tough journey because the bursary was funding covering the registration, tuition fees and books from 2014 and 2015. In 2016 and 2017 we were so lucky because that’s where we all received the full funding form MKI, I’m so thankful for everything you did to us, for making our dreams turn into reality. May God give the organisation a strength to carry on helping the lives of others.”, he said.

Mpondombi is currently doing his Bachelor of Technology (B Tech) in IT. He looks forward to finding a suitable work after completing his B Tech, acquiring relevant experience and in future starting his business that will provide solutions to IT related glitches across the country.
