Background: The Moses Kotane Institute is an entity of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government through the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA), with a mandate of providing an internationally recognized quality research driving the economic development and innovation in the province. It does this by providing timely and accurate research to support the attainment of radically transformed, inclusive and sustainable economic growth for the province in partnerships with public and private sector. Requirements: A Master’s degree in IT or Computer Science or an equivalent and related field.
Experience: 5 years’ experience in an IST related environment.

Responsibilities: The Manager: Information Systems and Technology duties, include but not limited to Managing the implementation of sub-unit strategic and operational plans. Develop and manage IT plans, policies and procedures. Management of IST Operations. Technical Support and fault resolution. IST Asset management administration. Management of sub-unit budget. Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships. People Management.
